 irchwood
features a screened-in porch, an outdoor "beach shower," a mud
room, three-bedrooms, two full baths, a fully equipped kitchen,
and in-floor radiant heat. The great room has a vaulted ceiling,
wood burning stove, and a panoramic view of the woods. Designed
with families in mind, the second largest bedroom doubles as
a family room. Various features create a wheel chair friendly
environment. A queen-size bed, a full-size bed, and a daybed
with trundle allow sleeping for six. One or two more can "camp
out" on the floor in the great
room at no extra charge, but they will need to bring their own
towels and bedding.

ncircled
by a beautiful 40 acre birch forest, this cozy retreat
is a 3 minute drive from Big Bay Town Park beach and lagoon.
This new, one of a kind 17-sided home offers complete
privacy for couples, families, or hunters. In the spring,
summer and fall if you like to fish, canoe, or kayak,
the lagoon and lake Superior are only a mile away. If
you enjoy the fall colors, then you will love Madeline
Island and Birchwood in early October. Throughout the
various hunting seasons, hunters are welcomed to hunt
on the 20 acres of woodlands. Deer are often seen on the
trails. |

Winter
is a special time of year on Madeline Island. Birchwood's quarter
mile private road is adjacent to a major snowmobile route. There
is ice fishing off shore on the western side of the Island.
You can also snowshoe on Birchwood's marked trails and then
come home and relax in front of a fire in the wood burning stove.
